The Black Sash has reminded parents and guardians that children who are receiving child support grants are automatically exempt from paying school fees.
Children up to 18 years of age now qualify for the child support grant.
According to the SA Institute of Race Relations, up to 10 million children currently receive grants.
The Black Sash's Nkosikhulule Nyembezi said caregivers must ensure youngsters who are beneficiaries are in school, because they are automatically exempted from paying school fees.
