A century old...congratulations

CONGRATULATIONS to Molly Coxon, well-known ex-Greytonian who celebrates her 100th birthday on Sunday, 16 November. Her links with Greytown actually go back 100 years -- Molly Train was born on Kinloch farm on 16 November, 1914.

After attending Greytown Primary School, Molly went on to St Annes, then to England where she studied horticulture. On her return in 1935, she was appointed horticulturist at Kingsmead Private School in Johannesburg and then met and married Eric Coxon.

Always interested in politics, Molly was a founder member of the Black Sash. On retirement, the Coxons moved to Greytown.

Molly, who now lives in Amberglen, Howick, is as articulate, interesting and bright as she always has been. On behalf of the Greytown Gazette readers, well done and congratulations.
